There is a forest near Pawełki, and in that forest a place that, in late May and early June, transforms into a magical spot filled with blooming rhododendrons 
We really wanted to make it there again this year to admire this wonderful spectacle 
We didn’t manage to make it there during the first two weeks of June, so full of hope, we set off today 
Before we even reached the forest, we were caught in a downpour 
But what’s a little rain when we were so eager to see this beautiful place at this special time of year.
And we made it…
Only to find that, by the looks of it, we were about a week too late 
The rhododendrons had already faded, and only a few single flowers added a touch of pink to the bushes, as if to cheer us up
Well, next year we’ll come earlier 
Luckily, on the way back, we were accompanied by sunshine and a gentle breeze 
that dried us off – as well as our dogs’ wet fur.
So we also stopped in Koszęcin, where a food festival was taking place
